Body Geometry Fit Sessions with Chain Reaction Cycles

Your fit on the bike is important - it affects your power, comfort and efficiency. Racing is about pushing yourself, but there is a difference between racing, and suffering with a bad fit!

At Chain Reaction our goal is to have you race ready. A Body Geometry Fit Session with our Body Geometry Fitters is the best way to help any rider go faster, go longer, and in greater comfort with less risk of injury. Comfort and performance are tied together throughout the fit process. Our fitters will troubleshoot any problem areas as well as ensure that your position will not cause any overuse injuries in the future. Our Body Geometry Fit consultant Rosey has found a niche with the Body Geometry Fit process that is unparalleled.

Rosey’s a competitive cyclist herself, knows the importance of proper fitting for both comfort and performance. She says the process works with the rider, first running through an interview and physical assessment to establish the unique characteristics every rider has and fitting the bike to the rider, not the other way round. Body Geometry Fit is all about the middle of motion, as soon as you try to make a riders body do what it can’t, you lose comfort and power. What sets Rosey apart from all other fitters, is her true passion for what she does, helping other riders find comfort in riding their bikes.

It’s all about the fit – and with every booking, when you mention this email you will receive a FREE Body Geometry Stem Cap – like you find fitted on all the pro’s bikes – check them out here

Can Your Legs Handle a 700km 5-Day Encore After Le Race?

Keen cyclists and philanthropists have the unique opportunity to extend their time in the saddle beyond our history-steeped 100km ‘Le Race’ on Saturday, 21 March and explore the beautiful south island on two wheels from 23-27 March.

Smiling for Smiddy is a Brisbane-based community program offering inspired cycling and triathlon challenge events to fund cancer research and patient care efforts. It is the official charity partner of Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival, SunSmart IRONMAN WA and IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast.

On Monday, 23 March – after a rest day that will include a short ‘prologue’ in the saddle – Smiling for Smiddy is embarking upon a 5-day, 700km adventure over four famous passes in the name of cancer research and would to bolster its contingent of New Zealanders. Click here for more info.

The registration for this life-affirming 6-night, 5-day journey (capped to 40 riders and a team of 10 volunteer ‘road crew’ and departing-returning Christchurch) costs $950, with a $2.5K minimum fundraising commitment. Funds raised for this event support world-class collaborative efforts between scientists and clinicians at Mater Research and several other beneficiaries.

For cyclists who not only love letting their competitive juices flow, but also shelving the ego to support riders of all levels, this event comes with a warning – riding in a Smiddy peloton will forever change your perception of cycling… in a good way!
